Explosion

It is finally happening. Asher's language explosion is upon us.  He still has work to do, but he's getting much better.  He's made attempts to say new words, such as: bike, grass, cloud, out, night-night, red, dog, Roy, and several others. He will repeat things if we prompt him, but he isn't saying them on his own yet. Baby steps.

Isaac, however, is still excelling in that area. The other day I put him in time-out and he said to me, "I don't like consequences!"

The boys are loving summer and playing at the park, in the backyard, and going to McDonald's play place if it is rainy or too hot.

We also had the thrill of playing with a turtle the other day. Someone down the street asked if anyone was interested. I said that we'd re-home the turtle to our backyard so the kids could see and play with him first.

I also have some summer flowers to show off. I've tried to keep up with watering, so our cherry tomatoes, hostas, and surprise lilies are doing well.  Here's a sampling of what's around.

  1. Yay for the language explosion and happy, playing boys!! Summer fun looks great! And good for you for getting some watering done while juggling everything else! Pretty flowers!
