Much better

Lesson of the week: don't post when hormones are attempting to regulate. :-)  Things are much better now.  And, even when they aren't, my outlook is.  That makes all the difference in the world.

It's been a good week.  On Friday, I received a package from a great friend in Australia. Natala, you are wonderful! It was a great pick-me-up!  Isaac loves Underpants Thunderpants. :-)  Asher just wants to chew on his book, but I won't let him. I think Isaac is enjoying this one just as much; he takes the book from me and looks at the pictures. I love that you sent chocolate, too.  I swear it tastes different than what we get.

This past weekend, I went to a Frank Lloyd Wright house. They don't let you take pictures inside, so none here, sorry.  It was... not what I was expecting.  It had a compress and release design: you go in a tight area and then walk through to the living room, where it is large and open.  It might be art, but it definitely wouldn't be somewhere I'd want to live.

On Sunday, we went to a social at Isaac's new school to meet the teachers, see the classroom, and ask any questions we might have. Besides the three pages of instructions for pick-up and drop-off, I think we are set. :-)

We've also been doing a lot of play when possible.  Yesterday, we had relatively good weather, so we got outside a bit.

I forgot to mention our anniversary gift to ourselves.  We've been wanting a credenza for our dining room for a while, but Alex is rather picky about his furniture.  We found a piece from the 1930's that is solid and built very well.  It's painted, but since it's a quality piece, that can be removed and refinished if we want.  Personally, I don't mind.  Yay, I have more storage!
The floor isn't crooked; it's just the angle.
One more picture just for the fun of it:

  1. It's good that you can recognize that you are emotional and that slants things, even if it is slanting things...

    I love the credenza! Yay!!

Hooray for the new school! Pretty cool!
